Needed a way to hang these great patio lights, (purchased at Costco), but didn't want to screw into the house. Made these posts/whiskey barrel/planter combination. 4'x4' red wood post secured with “L” brackets to the bottom of large barrel. Fill bottom 1/3 of barrel with rocks and the rest with soil for planting. Barrel is on wheels to easily redefine any area.
